Keith Freeman
Founder-owner Keith Freeman relocated to sunny Florida in the summer of 1997 from California
by way of Hawaii. Keith is a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where his four year stint
prepared him for life and career. As a Quality Assurance Evaluator for the Department of Defense,
Navy & Air Force for a decade; Keith excelled to positions of management and leadership. Subsequent
to his service to our country in the U.S. Department of Defense as a civilian and in the military,
Mr. Freeman has been a custom and spec homebuilder for the past twenty years.
As a licensed general contractor in California & Florida; Keith is entirely familiar with many
energy conservation products utilized in the western states and Florida.
It was amazing to him that nobody had ever heard of sun screens in the "Sunshine State".
Several years ago our founder-owner Keith Freeman decided to outfit his Florida residence windows
with sun screens to stop solar heat gain and cool the western exposed side of the home, the results
were immediately felt. The problem was finding the product anywhere in the Florida region.
He was able to source a small quantity of the screening material via special order, but nobody
carried the special framing material or hardware locally, and nobody knew how to create or install
the screens in the central Florida area. This was the catalyst for starting SunBlox.
Although Mr. Freeman pondered the idea for a few years, he finally, in 2004 started the company
called SunBlox. He saw a badly needed energy saving green product here in the Sunshine State and
filled the need for his customers, energy suppliers, and the environment.
After a great deal of research, finding the best products in the industry from limited suppliers,
Keith opened shop as SunBlox and is now looking to spread the word to the public.
